assorted armor
various sizes
tulle, thread, zipper

These pieces float around the body like ghostly Otherselves, cloaking and revealing the figure beneath. They explore the push/pull of privacy and intimacy within clothes, and the text I embroider across this work invites and repels. The stitched phrases are personal, devastating, and half-ironic mediations on sex, desire, and feminity. They are the flimsy armor of my young womanhood, offering snarky protection while giving everything away.
